In Memory of

Cathleen Rose Isford

This site is in loving memory of Cathleen Rose Isford.  Cathy has touched so many people during her life and even more lives after her death.

This site offers information about who Cathy was, how she died, news articles about her, photos of her in life and in death, letters from our family, recognition to those that helped us through this, donations received, information about ecstasy and other drugs, and our goals to help others in similar situations.

This is still and will always be under construction!  Sometimes, Cathy may be heavy on our heart and you may see a lot of changes.  There will be long periods of time that there isn't much to update and we are more at peace.

Although we have several pictures of Cathy through out her life, we know that her friends and other people that have known her may also have photos from different events.  Please if you have any Photos of Cathy, let us know.  We would love to scan a copy to share on her site or just for our own memories.

We regret to inform you that we have had to close our guestbook.  Due to hackers and solicitors constantly attacking our guestbook, we are no longer able to have it available.  The time it has taken to keep it up and maintain it was ridiculous.

There are maps to Cathy's location at Fairhaven by clicking here Maps to Cathy's Location.

This site has been down for some time due to technical difficulties, but we have finally worked through these problems and Cathy's memorial is back online.  Please note that Cathy passed away in 2002.  This site was created as a memorial and a way for me to cope with the grief that I was overwhelmed by and to create a memorial for my family, Cathy's friends and any individual that would like to learn about her to have access to.  In many ways I become obsessed by my sister's life and death and I tried to document every detail I could.  Cathy has been gone now for almost 6 years.  Our family has healed and moved on.  No matter how healed someone may be, it doesn't mean we don't miss her and think of her often.  There are those moment too, when the pain of our loss sets back in.  Please understand, by this site being constructed soon after Cathy's death, there are many statements that are outdated or incomplete.  Also, because we had such horrible technical difficulties (a hacker planted a massive virus that crashed Cathy's site completely), there may be images or items that are inoperable.  Please e-mail if you find such items, so I may fix them.

Thank you for visiting,

Star Isford

Important Notice!!!

Documentary about Cathy available!

We have worked very close with Beth Pearce on a true life documentary called Voice of the Victims.  The first volume has a long segment on Cathy's life and death, it's called "The Voices of Ecstasy and Ketamine".  We feel this is one of the most beautiful videos, done up to this point and we are very pleased to have been a part of this project.  This video corrects all the wrong doing by the media and shows the truth about what happened that night.  Please check out the site and order if you can.  By giving the perspective of the families that have lost their loved ones due to bad choices, this video helps to open the eyes and hearts of all viewers.  Please take the time to visit Beth's site www.voiceofthetictims.com.  Tell Beth the Isford's send their love.

Beth - Good Job!!

The people that work for the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) are completely amazing people.  Soon after we arrived at the hospital a TIP volunteer came to help.  From that moment on we were not alone and we had volunteers until after she passed, 2 days later.  These volunteers work with the hospital, which allowed my family and her close friends visitation to Cathy a little more frequent than the normal allowed.  Besides helping us to see Cathy, they also provided us with many resources to help us cope with our loss and emotional support during this hard time of our lives.  I can not say in words, how thankful that I am that Orange County has such a wonderful resource and beautiful volunteers that are here for when people like us need them most.  If you are interested in becoming a TIP volunteer, would like to help start the program in your local area, or would like further information, please click on the link above.

My good friend Cat Johnson has just become a TIPS volunteer.  She was introduced to the program during Cathy's stay at the hospital.  Now she has gone to the next step and is volunteering herself.  Cat, I am so Proud of you!!

02/22/2008 - Cat, we miss you!  Please contact us when you have a chance, we lost your phone number!
